The Vaccines have announced a five date seaside UK tour for May next year. After playing about 50 festival dates this year, the London band have also announced their first festival dates for 2012. They are confirmed for Isle Of Wight Festival, London’s Field Day and Benicassim amongst others.
The Vaccines are currently writing for the follow-up to this year’s debut LP ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’. Frontman Justin Young & Co. have said that they are trying to make a different record this time around. Young said in a recent interview with NME:
“Guitar bands in particular seem to get in the habit of making the same record over and over again, and I think we’re really keen to avoid that,” he said. “It’s the natural thing to do, isn’t it? ‘What did people find attractive in us first time round? Oh, better not lose that then’.”

May 2nd – Dundee Caird Hall
May 3rd – Bridlington Spa
May 4th – Blackpool Empress Ballroom
May 7th – Brighton Centre
