“Just returned from The Beach Boys concert kicking off their 50th Anniversary tour. Took me back to 62′ and my surf band years. Although their sound was created with the help of others on stage the sound was authentic Beach Boys, beautiful harmony’s and great music. It brought back great memory’s and was a great night! Two highlights were video sinc songs with Dennis Wilson and Carl Wilson.”

The band are set to release their new album on june 5th, as it was announced yesterday, and made a clip of the lead single, titled, ‘That’s Why God Made the Radio’, off the new record available to listen in the video below.
The Beach Boys’ Mike Love told Rolling Stone about the new album:
“Conceptually, the album is not going to be anything outlandish or silly, like Smiley Smile. It will be like the Beach Boys circa ’65. I’m trying to write lyrics that fit the music without making it sound like you’re writing from a hospice.”
The Beach Boys haven’t announced any UK tour dates yet and according to some sources there won’t be any UK dates. The band have however announced a few European dates, they are listed below and you can buy tickets to these shows by following the link.
